Special Announcement

Louisville Fury and the Volleyball Academy would like to invite you to an open house. This open house will take place on Sunday September 12th from 6-8 pm at MidAmerica Sports Center. This open house will offer courts for open gym for the boys. Parents please come out and meet some of the coaches of Fury and members of MidAmerica, we will be available to answer any questions you may have about the 2011 season. This is not a parent meeting but an informational meeting about the Fury season for 2011. So please bring a friend you know who might be interested in club volleyball.

Also below is a schedule for open gyms and tryouts. Before your son participates in an open gym he must be registered through the pioneer region. To do this, click the link below after September 1st and fill out requested information. This does not bind you to Fury. Please ignore the registration fee, that will be taken care of by the club if you tryout and make a Fury team.

We are very excited about our 2011 season. We are looking to field teams at the following age groups; 18s, 17s, 16s, 15s, 14s, and we are looking at a Junior Spikers program for ages 9-12.

Thanks

Ward Lotze

Boy’s Program

The Volleyball Academy is pleased to announce the formation of a boy’s volleyball program offering the following programs for the grade school, high school and club level player during 2010:

Louisville Fury is pleased to announce that we will be entering into a partnership for the 2011 season. Fury will partner with the Volleyball Academy at MidAmerica Sports Center and be the boys’ volleyball club of the Volleyball Academy . Louisville Fury is the longest running boys’ volleyball club in the state of Kentucky, has helped 11 boys accept college scholarships and numerous others gain scholarship offers and strives each year to develop their teams to compete at a national level.

The goal of both Fury and the Volleyball Academy is to grow competitive boys’ volleyball in the Kentuckiana area and look to do that by combining resources. Fury will still be run by Ward Lotze, Club Director; who has been involved with the club since its inception in 2001.

We will host two tournaments, the High Bounce in June and the Holiday Fest in December. Other events planned are grade school clinics, camps, and developing a local high school league.

We are very excited and feel this will have a positive effect on boys’ volleyball in the city of Louisville.
